                  EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton issued a ringing indictment of critics of Europe’s handling of the ongoing Syrian crisis Tuesday at a debate at the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg, as she warned not to “leap to conclusion that unless we engage in military solutions we are inactive”.
