Treaty on Cultural Cooperation Betwen Belarus and Israel Signed

Yesterday, Belarus and Israel signed a treaty about a program of cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation through the years 2009-2012.
From the Belarus side, the treaty was signed by the Deputy Minister of Education Tatyana Kovaleva, and from the Israel side - the Deputy Director General for Culture and Science of the MIA Aryeh Mekel BelaPan reports.
The signing of the document took place as part of the work visit to Belarus of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Avigdor Liberman.
According to the Minister, this treaty will aid "the further development of interpersonal contacts" between Belarus and Israel, and will "be a contribution to world history."
From his side, Avigdor Liberman thinks that it is time to strengthen the economic relationship between the two countries.
