Israelis arrested in Lebanon
10.06.2009
Two sisters were arrested in Lebanon for having Israeli passports.
One of the two women, who flew to Beirut International airport a few days ago, voted in Sunday's Lebanese elections, reported the Hezbollah-run Al-Manar television network. Both women, ages 67 and 69, hold Lebanese passports and one also holds an American passport.
The women remain in the custody of Lebanese security authorities.
Their detention comes as Lebanon arrested 10 more people accused of spying for Israel, bringing the number of alleged spies charged to 68.
