"Friend or Foe. Jews through the Eyes of the Slavs. Slavs through the Eyes of the Jews" scientific conference held in
27.11.2002 "Friend or Foe. Jews through the Eyes of the Slavs. Slavs through the Eyes of the Jews" scientific conference has opened in Moscow. The organizers are Russian Academy Slavonic Studies; the Center for scientists and teachers of Judaism in "Safer" Universities as well as the Jewish Agency in Russia and the American Jewish United Distribution Committee "Joint".
The topics of almost 30 speeches to be delivered at the conference cover the time period from the 10th century up to the present and are dedicated to different topics, i.e. attitude towards Jewish people in literature, folklore, Internet, life, church life of different Christianity branches.
