It is necessary to treat new repatriates as integral part of Israeli people.

In research presented by the known expert on the Jewish demography professor Sergio de La-Pergola, the following figures are mentioned: the total number of the Jewish population all over the world makes 12,9 million persons. It is 3 percent less than the number registered during the last research (13,4 million). Professor de La-Pergola states that results of the research unequivocally specify invariance of the tendency of the Jewish population reduction in the world.
This research have been promulgated under the initiative of the Jewish institute of strategic planning during the emergency session of Institute held this week in Jerusalem. Among the participants of the session, which purpose was searching of ways for overcoming the demographic crisis of Jewish people, there were dozens of experts on demography and planning.
Addressing the conference, the head of the Jewish Agency Salay Meridor has specified necessity of development of the Jewish education for Diaspora and encouragement of Jews repatriation to Israel. "For our country aliah is really the "water of life", - the head of the Jewish Agency has specified.
The deputy head of the Israeli government, the Minister of Construction Natan Sharansky, has told that it is necessary to treat the repatriates as an integral part of Israeli nation to keep the Jewish majority in the country for future generations.
The chairman of the board of the Jewish Institute of strategic planning, the former Ambassador of the USA in Israel Dennis Ross, has told that one of ways to oppose non-Jewish absorption of young Jews of Diaspora is transformation of Judaism into modern and dynamic system of cultural values.
The Jewish institute of strategic planning has been founded half a year ago with purpose of planning decisions on preservation of Jewish nation and development of recommendations to the government.
The Jewish Agency and the Jewish University in Jerusalem became the founders of the Institute. The principal of the Institute is professor of the Jewish University Iehezkel Dror. The general director of the Institute is Avinoam Bar-Joseph.
Besides dozens of scientists and experts, among the participants of the first emergency session of Institute there were the members of the administrative board of the Jewish Agency, in particular, the lawyer Jaakov Neeman, stock generals Amos Malha and Uzi Dayan, Itskhak Molho and Josy Kuchik.
