			| The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has become the general sponsor for  the Jewish Book Festival 2010, which has taken place in St. Petersburg  on November 21-22. This is the thirteenth time this festival, organized  by the Jewish Community Center led by Alexander Frenkel, has taken place  in the “northern capital” of Russia. The festival was hosted by the  famous Beloselsky-Belozersky palace on the Nevsky Avenue. |  |

In preparation for the visit, the  Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Secretary General, Chairman of the  Association of Jewish Organizations and Communities of Ukraine, Josef  Zisels, sent Shimon Peres a letter describing the main problems of the  Jewish community of Ukraine and requesting that the President discuss  these questions with Ukrainian leaders during his visit. |  |

The fire of her charisma kept several generations of World Jewish Congress leaders and workers warm. Her name, face, and gesture always appeared anywhere the Jewish initiative of the world had consolidated. She was partial to the works of the WJC founders, and the current rhythm of the world Jewish center in unthinkable without her. |  |

The American delegation was led by the Executive Director of the Advocates on Behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States & Eurasia (NCSJ) Mark Levin.
