Preparatory seminar for “Shorashim - Ukraine - 2017” camp begins in Slavske
18.08.2017, Jewish Communities On August 17, the preparatory seminar for the camp “Roots and Future of Diaspora Jews” (Shorashim Ukraine 2017) began in Slavske (Lviv region, Ukraine).
The camp director and his young team have been inspiredly working on the camp’s program and are preparing for the arrival of the participants, who will meet the camp councillors on the morning of August 20 and start learning about the history and traditions of the Jewish people. The participants will also join fascinating workshops and study programs where they will be able to polish their creative, communicative and sports skills.
The preparatory seminar began with an introductory word from the leader of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Program Committee Head, Co-President of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations of Ukraine (VAAD) Josef Zissels, who inspired the entire team to fruitful and creative work.
The project is being implemented with the support of the EAJC Kyiv office.
